Mixtup Job Vacancy
Mixtup is an independent youth club, which is run by and supports children and young people in Swansea (aged 11-25) who have a range of mixed abilities including physical and learning, as well as individuals who are not disabled. Started by EYST, Interplay and SCVS, Mixtup has now become an independent youth-led organisation. Thanks to funding from BBC Children in Need, we are now looking for a Youth Development Worker and a Sessional worker to help us grow and move forward as an organisation.
Youth development worker
- Salary: £12,600 per year (£21,000 pro rata)
- Hours: 21 hours a week.
- Tenure: Fixed Term for 3 years
- £10 per hour (5 hours a week)
Why get involved? Well, we aim to offer members many opportunities to change other people’s lives and their own lives for the better. There are only a limited number of physically accessible youth clubs/groups that offer these types of opportunities, so come and work WITH us to make an impact on the lives of children and young people who reside in Swansea and beyond!
By working for us, you will not only be having a positive influence on our young people, but also the surrounding community; we are planning to do a lot of outreach work to improve the lives of disabled young people in Swansea; all of which you will have a lasting, life changing effect on.
