'F.A.F. Initiative' is the abbreviation for the Community Councils Financial Assistance Funding Initiative. The Community Council’s Financial Assistance Funding Initiative is a Council programme which aims to support the voluntary sector in the Community.
Local groups which work specifically in Pontlliw and Tircoed, are not party political, debtors of the Council, or owe any other outstanding obligation to the Authority are able to apply for consideration for funding under the Initiative.
Each application is judged on the basis of merit.
By providing financial support to the various voluntary groups which operate in the Community, the Council is able to positively recognise progress and ensure the continued work of local groups and support their invaluable contribution to the life of the local Community.
During the previous round of FAF, the following organisations were offered support:
- Pontlliw AFC
- St. Anne's Church in Wales
- Pontlliw Village Hall
- Tircoed Village Trust
- Pontlliw Senior Citizens
- Pontlliw W.I.
- 5th Lliw Valley Scout Group
The Council was pleased by the high number of FAF applications during the last round and would like to thank all local voluntary sector bodies for the work which they undertake in the Community.
Secretaries of organisations considering applying for FAF are advised to contact the Community Council to obtain copies of the FAF application criteria and application forms in advance of the closing date.
